5 Year Plan

5-Year-Plan

Here is my five year plan:

  • Year 1:
    • Finish applying to colleges
    • Fill out the FAFSA and apply for scholarships
    • Pick a college
    • Throw a Graduation Party
    • Leave to college
  • Year 2:
    • Start with good grades
    • Make good friends
    • Gain a sense of personality
    • Continue playing the clarinet
    • Finish Freshman year with all A’s
  • Year 3:
    • Get involved in the community
    • Think about where to live and work after college
  • Year 4:
    •  Maybe get an internship while pursuing my bachelor’s
    •  Have written or finished a draft of a book.
    • Think about pediatrics and if it’s what I want to work in
  • Year 5:
    • Finish college
    • Start applying for jobs in nursing
    • Look for small houses and/or apartments relatively near possible work places

Having a 5-year-plan is important to help motivate you to work toward your goals. Sometimes it can be hard to remember where you want to end up when you’re in the middle of it all. Sometimes, if you can’t keep your goals in mind, the stress of getting there will become too much. It’s good to have a plan, even if it’s only for the next five years. You don’t know what will happen during those years to change the future ones, so keeping the span of the plan small is probably the best idea.
