I am going to school to be a Registered Nurse (RN) in the field of pediatrics. I want to work at Memorial or SSM when I initially get out of college.
I’ve always been very good with children, and I love helping people. I feel that I would be a good nurse because I would always strive to be better, not for my sake, but for the sake of my patients. I avoided nursing when I was younger because of my mother being a nurse, but she has been such a good role model and so supportive of my career decision.

Pros Cons
Work with kids Possibility of losing the life of a patient
Mom was a nurse Long work hours
Good salary Stress
Being happy where I work Watching patients in pain and only being able
Helping people to do so much to help them.
Not necessarily a lot of college debt
Very high in demand
There are many scholarships offered specifically to those planning to major in nursing.
